Saturday Academy

PS 88Q is excited to offer our Saturday Academy for ENL (English as a New Language) students in grades K-5. This specialized program provides targeted instruction to help students enhance their English language skills through explicit teaching and project-based learning.

Our Saturday Academy focuses on building vocabulary, improving grammar, and enhancing communication skills in a supportive and engaging environment. Through project-based learning, students apply their language skills to real-world scenarios, fostering creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking.

Last school year, our students were selected to present their projects at Central DOE headquarters, Tweed.  Their work was honored and recognized by city and state representatives.

By participating in the Saturday Academy, ENL students at PS 88Q will receive the extra support they need to succeed academically and socially, while developing a deeper understanding and proficiency in English.
