We hope you are enjoying a wonderful summer! As we begin preparing for the start of another exciting school year, we are looking forward to welcoming our students and families back to PS 88Q in September.
Over the next few weeks, families can expect information about class placements, arrival and dismissal procedures, important dates, and opportunities to connect with our school community. Please keep an eye on your email and school communications for updates as we get closer to the first day of school.

We would also like to share an important update regarding our GRYC after-school program. Mr. Kevin Goodish has accepted a well-deserved promotion and will not be serving as the PS 88Q GRYC Director this year. In his new role, Kevin will oversee more than 10 GRYC programs, so while he will no longer be based exclusively at PS 88Q, he will still very much be part of our world. We are grateful for the incredible impact he has had on our students and families and are excited for him as he begins this next chapter. The new director of our GRYC Afterschool Program is Alyssa Rivera. Her email is [email protected]. . Please note that the after-school application process has not yet opened, and we will share details with families once enrollment information becomes available.

As we prepare for the new school year, we also want to share a reminder about technology's role at PS 88Q. At The Seneca School, we believe children learn best through hands-on experiences, play, collaboration, creativity, and meaningful interactions with teachers and classmates. Technology is not a driving force in our classrooms and is used thoughtfully and sparingly. Check out this weeks newsletter for more information and opportunities.
