My partners and I (Helena) interviewed Mrs. Stark about the fundraisers she has PS 88 participating in this year. Mrs. Stark says it's important to do fundraisers because, “We want to encourage our students to develop an understanding of the importance of giving to worthy causes. “

Mrs. Stark says we accept any dollar amounts that a student's family wishes to give. Mrs. Stark says she love all our fundraisers. She told us that the school does approximately 8 fundraisers a year. Those fundraisers are: Breast Cancer Fundraiser, Can Food Drive/Toy Drive, Leukemia Pennies For The Patients, Hoops & Jumps for the Heart, American Lung Association, Autism Awareness, and last but not least, the National Kidney Foundation. Mrs. Stark says, “I’m so proud of what the P.S. 88Q families and community do to help out those in need. Our students work so hard to make all our fundraisers a success.”
