I am extremely proud of our graduates for their dedication and commitment to learning. I wish our graduates continued success in middle school, high school, college and beyond. PS88Q has provided each and every one our graduating students with the necessary skills to succeed. I wish our graduates the best of luck and continued success!

Sunday, June 18th is Father’s Day. Father's Day is observed on the third Sunday of June. It honors all fathers, grandfathers, great-grandfathers, and father figures for their contribution. It was created to complement Mother's Day.

Father's Day is a time to recognize fathers and father figures who have influenced a person's life. It is celebrated through cards, gifts, dining out, gifts such as electronic gadgets, sports attire, household tools or time spent together.

June 28th is a half day for students and is also the last day of school for all NYC students. 

Here are some other important dates to remember:

  • June 1st-Mets trip for 5th grade.
  • June 6th—SLT meeting and PTA Meeting ( PTA Elections @ 5:30pm)
  • June 8th—Schools are closed for students--Brooklyn/Queens Day and Chancellors Conference Day.
  • June 14th -17th—Disney performances of Aladdin ( There will be a Saturday Performance)
  • June 12th—Clerical Day-Students are not in attendance.
  • June 16th—Last day of Greater Ridgewood Youth Council after-school program.
  • June 22nd---5th grade Awards ceremony—9am
  • June 22rd—5th grade graduation ceremony at Bryant HS
  • June 26th –NYC Schools are closed-Eid al Fitr
